Skills and Requirements

We have a fairly small, diverse team at iQ and the person who joins us would enjoy the unique culture we foster.

We are looking for an experienced corporate attorney to join our growing firm in our Jeddah office and welcome applications from candidates with 2-5 years’ experience with a distinguished international law firm, particularly in the fields of international corporate and financial law.

The candidate should possess excellent legal drafting and transaction management skills, as well as excellent communication and analytical skills with the proven ability to liaise effectively with clients.

We are looking for someone who would who take initiative and be keen to develop new ideas to the benefit of the practice. The candidate should be able to respond flexibly to events as they unfold to best meet the needs of the practice and our clients.

An awareness of the balance between the need for a quick turnaround with longer-term strategy is critical. The ideal candidate would be highly driven and solution-oriented, with strong leadership skills. Good IT skills are essential for this role and proficiency in Arabic would be a distinct advantage.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Managing legal transactions and client relations.
  • Drafting, negotiating, editing and reviewing corporate and transaction documents.
  • Identifying prospective clients and liaising with Partners on suitable strategic approaches.
  • Drafting, reviewing and editing materials for proposals.
  • Mentoring and assisting in the development of junior team members
  • Assist with firm administrative issues

First Round

This will be a conversational “fit” interview. Conversational interviews focus on understanding the candidate as a person by learning about his or her values, strengths and weaknesses. They help us assess “fit” with our work-style and culture. Our process includes one or more conversational interviews.

Documents

We will be asking for supporting materials and references before moving you on to the second round. This is also when we figure out your availability and other logistics.

Final Round

This is when we have an opportunity to take a deeper look at your background, align them with our needs and also cover a few simple/brief case studies. You also get a more in-depth opportunity to meet with our employees to learn more about the firm.
