Dr. Noora Lori

Dr. Noora Lori is a Fellow of iQ (Youth & Population). She is Academy Scholar at the Weatherhead Center for International and Area Studies at Harvard University. She has a Doctorate in Political Science from Johns Hopkins University. Her Doctoral research and writings examine how migrant labor impacts the institutional development, regime stability, and political economy of the Arab Gulf states. She has published articles in the Asian and Pacific Migration Journal and for the Institut français des relations internationals (IFRI). She has previously held positions as an Adjunct Faculty member and Visiting Scholar at the Dubai School of Government, a research fellow at the International Security Program and a Dubai Initiative Fellow at the Belfer Center of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Her work has been funded by the ACLS/Mellon foundation and the ZEIT-Stiftung ‘Settling into Motion’ fellowship.
