Andrew T Clarke

Andrew Clarke is a Senior Fellow of iQ (Investment Protection). 35 years’ experience in the energy industry working both as an in-house lawyer and as a commercial developer, have provided Andrew with a deep and detailed knowledge of the management and operation of multinational companies. Recently retired from ExxonMobil after 33 years’ service including postings in Indonesia, Qatar, Turkey, the USA and Singapore, he has served as General Counsel for several key affiliates, including more than 10 years for ExxonMobil International Limited.

In addition to his in-house role, Andrew has been closely involved in the practice and reform of dispute resolution practice, particularly international arbitration. He is a founder member of, and served twice as the Chair of, the Corporate Counsels International Arbitration Group, and is also a Member, as well as a past director and Court member of the London Court of International Arbitration. He is currently a member of the Governing Board of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration, a member of the Advisory Council to the Centre for Commercial Law Studies at Queen Mary University of London, Chair of the Steering Committee of the Energy Law Institute at Queen Mary University of London, a Member of the Advisory Board for the Turkish Commercial Law Review and Bencher of Middle Temple (London).

Educated at the University of Cambridge and a member of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple.
