H.E. Dr. Lulwa Bint Abdullah Al Misnad ( iQ Fellow for Commerce and Industry) is the founding partner of her own Qatar law practice, is also Of Counsel, and a Consultant in GCC commercial and industrial affairs. She has served as Acting Secretary General, and before that Assistant Secretary General, of the Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting, a non-profit industrial development agency for the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council. Her educational credentials include Ph.D. and M.A. degrees in economics from George Washington University in Washington, DC, and a degree in law from Beirut Arab University. Her areas of expertise include economic and human resources development, social capacity building, and the management of micro- and macro-economic policy in the field of industrial development. She has served on the board of directors of Qatar International Petroleum Marketing Co. Ltd. (Tasweeq), Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa), and Rand Qatar Policy Institute / Qatar Foundation. She has authored of numerous publications, papers and research projects.
