Charles Hollis (iQ Fellow for Risk Management and Business Intelligence) is a consultant specialising in delivering solutions to challenging and complex problems. His recent focus has been in the fields of risk mitigation, business intelligence, and reputation management. He has extensive experience in the Arab World, and a deep understanding of the nuances attendant to doing business in the region.

Mr. Hollis worked with U.K. Foreign & Commonwealth Office, both in the U.K., and internationally, for 14 years, including posting in Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and the U.K. Mission to the United Nations in New York.

He left the Diplomatic Service in 1997 to undertake an M.B.A. at Columbia Business School. On graduation he joined CSFB in London to work with the U.K. mergers and acquisition team. In 2002, Mr. Hollis established his own political risk consultancy, Global Metrics Ltd., before joining Kroll in January 2005 to head their Middle East Practice. Since 2008 he has been working for clients as a consultant, helping to advise them on identifying and managing business risks, market entry strategies, and protecting clients' investments and reputations.

Mr. Hollis is a graduate of the University of Oxford.
